What we do

NewYearNewYork.com is an independent guide to New Year's Eve in New York City. We bring together what visitors need to decide how to spend the night: the free Times Square celebration, cruises, parties, rooftops, dinners, hotels and free alternatives. Everything is organized so you can compare options and plan with confidence.

What we are not

We are not an official organization. We are not affiliated with the Times Square Alliance, the City of New York, NYC Tourism + Conventions, the NYPD, the MTA, or any hotel, restaurant, cruise operator or event organizer we feature. We don't operate, sell or book any of the experiences on this site.

How we research and verify

• We use official sources first: organizers, operators, venues, the City of New York and NYC Tourism.
• Every time-sensitive page shows when its details were last verified and links to its sources.
• We label information by status: Confirmed for NYE 2027, Awaiting official 2027 update, Based on latest official operating plan (last year's details), or long-standing guidance.
• We never present last year's operational details, such as entry points or street closures, as confirmed for this year.
• We don't invent prices, availability, ratings or reviews. If we can't verify something, we leave it out.

How the site is funded

Right now the site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no paid placements. “Check Availability” buttons link directly to each provider's official website. If that changes in future, for example through affiliate partnerships, we'll label those links clearly and update this page and our terms.

Photography

Our photos are licensed New York City images from Pexels. Unless a caption says otherwise, photos on experience pages are contextual and do not depict the specific venue, vessel or event.

Spotted something out of date? Please contact us. We review corrections promptly, and especially closely in the weeks before December 31.
